Hi @DennisAC,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The issue with the HP Smart App not loading could be due to various reasons, such as app glitches, network issues, or a system conflict. Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot this problem.

Restart Your Device and Network

  • Restart your computer or smartphone.
  • Restart your router to ensure a fresh network connection.

Check for Updates

  • On Windows/Mac:
    • Open your app store or HP Smart download page.
    • Check for updates to the HP Smart App.
  • On Mobile (iOS/Android):
    • Go to your respective app store and see if an update is available.

Clear Cache/Data (For Mobile Apps)

  • Android:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > HP Smart > Storage.
    • Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
  • iOS:
    • Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app.

Reinstall the HP Smart App

  • Uninstall the app from your device.
  • Download and install the latest version from:
    • HP Smart for Windows/Mac.
    • Google Play Store or Apple App Store for mobile devices.

Check Network Connectivity

  • Ensure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  • Confirm the printer is connected to the same network.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows)

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix potential software conflicts.

Adjust Firewall/Antivirus Settings

  • Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software to see if they are blocking the app.
  • Add HP Smart to your firewall/antivirus exceptions list.

System Updates

  • Ensure your operating system is updated to the latest version.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
