Welcome to the HP Community --

Canon printers are supported by Canon at their support site.

Please check with Canon Support for help with your Canon printer.

For example:  Printers - Canon South Africa

In general, this type of issue is due to one or more of:

  1. The full driver printer software is not installed, or is installed and is in some way damaged > Uninstall / Reinstall the full driver printer software
  2. The Default Printer is not set correctly and / or is in the control of Microsoft > Do not let Windows control your default printer > Correct the setting for the Default Printer
  3.  HP printer >> The "Driver" in Printer Properties is not set correctly > Correct the setting in Printer Properties
  4. The "Printer" in your job configuration is pointing to the Fax driver instead of the printer > Correct the job (application) setup to select the correct "Printer" and not the Fax
