I had the M1132 Printer connect to Word a while back, and my mom took my computer and made the computer recognize another printer from work (Which is the P1102) and I can't seem to get the M1132 printer to connect back to Word again.
Please somebody help me with this situation.

Hi @solsgy,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand to set the LaserJet M1132 MFP as your default printer and ensure it connects back to Word, follow these steps:

Set the LaserJet M1132 MFP as the Default Printer

Open Settings:

  • Press Win + I to open the Settings app.

Go to Devices:

  • Click on "Devices" and then select "Printers & scanners."

Select Printer:

  • Find the LaserJet M1132 MFP in the list of printers.
  • Click on it, and then click the "Manage" button.

Set as Default:

  • Click on "Set as default" to make the M1132 your default printer.

Ensure the M1132 Printer is Recognized in Word

Open Word:

  • Launch Microsoft Word.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Go to "File" > "Print."
  • In the Printer dropdown menu, make sure the LaserJet M1132 MFP is selected.

Re-add Printer (if not listed):

  • Go back to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & scanners."
  • If the M1132 is not listed, click "Add a printer or scanner" and follow the instructions to add it.

Update Printer Driver (if needed):

  • Visit the HP website and download the latest driver for the LaserJet M1132 MFP.
  • Install the driver and restart your computer if required.

Set Printer Preferences:

  • In Word, you might need to set the M1132 as the default printer for documents. Go to "File" > "Print" and ensure the M1132 is selected as the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
