I just installed the printer to my iMac.  It would not connect wirelessly and had to use an old HP USB cable.  It works ( prints and scans).  I spent hours and hours on this.   HP support was useless and the chat disconnect by them with 7 different agents and never answered the phone in two hours.    So  How do I connect so it works wirelessly that no longer seems to be available on HP Smart.    Do I need wireless for future firmware/driver updates?  Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Hi,

open the HP Smart app and double click your printer icon.

Click on Advanced Settings and select the Network tab.

Under Wireless follow the Wireless Setup Wizard and connect the printer to your wireless network, then click the Plus sign on HP Smart to add the network-connected printer.

Note: when prompt to enter the PIN Code, open the cartridge access door and it will be listed on the label.
