Hi @Cole781,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2852e showing offline and needing to be set up again. Let’s go through a few checks.

Step 1: Reset the Printer’s Wireless Settings

  • Turn the printer on.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel (X) button together for 5 seconds.
  • Release when the blue light starts blinking.
  • The printer is now in Wi-Fi setup mode.

Note: The blue light should blink rapidly. If not, repeat the step.

Step 2: Reconnect Using the HP App

  • On your phone or computer, connect to your regular Wi-Fi network.
  • Open the HP app.
  • Select Add Printer or Set Up a New Printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to Wi-Fi.
  • Wait until the blue light becomes solid.
  • If prompted, allow Bluetooth and Local Network permissions.

Step 3: Set Printer Online (Windows Only)

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP DeskJet 2852e.
  • Click See what’s printing.
  • Select Printer in the top menu.
  • Make sure Use Printer Offline is not checked.

Step 4: Remove and Re-Add the Printer (If Still Offline)

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select the printer and click Remove.
  • Restart the computer.
  • Click Add device and reinstall the printer.

Step 5: Restart Network

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the Wi-Fi router for 60 seconds.
  • Plug the router back in and wait until fully online.
  • Turn the printer on and test print.

If the printer shows online in the HP app but offline on the computer, the issue is usually with the saved printer connection on that device.

I hope this helps.
