Hi @NS62,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like the Bluetooth issue you're experiencing is related to a recent update on your HP laptop. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem.
Roll Back the Bluetooth Driver:
- Go to Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting it.
- Expand the Bluetooth section.
- Right-click your Bluetooth adapter (usually labeled something like "Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth" or similar) and select Properties.
- Go to the Driver tab and click on Roll Back Driver if the option is available. This will revert to the previous driver version before the update.
Update Bluetooth Drivers:
- If rolling back doesn't help, try updating the Bluetooth driver.
- Right-click the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager, select Update Driver, and choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Alternatively, visit the HP website and download the latest Bluetooth driver for your laptop model.
Disable Power Saving for Bluetooth:
- In Device Manager, right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.
- Under the Power Management tab, uncheck the option that says Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Bluetooth and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix issues.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Sometimes, a follow-up update can resolve issues caused by a recent one.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and click Check for updates to see if there's anything new available.
Reset Bluetooth Settings:
- If nothing works, try resetting your Bluetooth settings.
- Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and toggle Bluetooth off and on again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
