Hi @Philip149,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

You can download the official driver for your HP LaserJet P1006 Printer compatible with Windows 11 directly from HP’s support website.

Installation Tips

  1. Disconnect the printer from your computer before installing the driver.
  2. Download and run the HP Easy Start or the full driver package from the link above.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  4. Reconnect the printer via USB when prompted.

If you face any issues during installation, I can guide you step-by-step. Would you like help with that?

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Hello.

I've been to the HP site and downloaded the file for the installation of the printer but as it is installing the files on my hard drive it comes to "Installing the files on the hard drive" and then the loading window disappears and nothing else happens. I've tried it a few times now with the same result. What is going wrong?

I am using Windows 11 Pro on a Lenovo ThinkPad and the printer is not connected to the laptop while attempting the installation - although I have also tried it while the printer was connected.

Thanks in advance.
