Hi @Strider4,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are looking for the driver. Here are the **official steps to download and install the printer software for your HP ENVY 5660 on macOS Monterey 12.7.6, using HP-supported methods:

1. Use the official HP support site to get the correct software

  1. Open a web browser on your Mac.
  2. Go to the HP driver download page for your printer:
👉 HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer series Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
  3. Under macOS, select “macOS 12.x (Monterey)” from the operating system list if it appears.
  4. Download the Full Feature Software and Drivers or the HP Easy Start utility; this is the recommended installer that guides you through setup and driver installation.

If you don’t see macOS Monterey specifically offered on the page, the HP Easy Start utility will still try to install compatible print support and set up the printer for you.

2. Install using HP Easy Start

Once downloaded:

  1. Run the Easy Start installer file from Downloads.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Choose your printer from the list, connect it to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac, then let the installer finish.
  4. Restart your Mac if prompted.

This typically installs:

  • Printer driver
  • Optional HP print/scanning software
  • Network setup assistance

3. Use AirPrint as an alternative

Your HP ENVY 5660 also supports AirPrint, which works natively in macOS without needing a separate HP driver. To use AirPrint:

  1. Make sure your printer and Mac are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. On your Mac, open the document or photo you want to print.
  3. Choose File > Print.
  4. From the Printer dropdown, select your HP ENVY 5660 entry that shows “AirPrint” as the driver.
  5. Adjust print settings and click Print.

AirPrint provides basic printing functions and works reliably with macOS.

4. Install the HP app (HP: Print and Support) from the Mac App Store

HP’s new all-in-one app replaces HP Smart on macOS and can help you manage printing and scanning: Download: HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site

  • Add the printer
  • Check ink levels
  • Print and scan from your Mac

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
