Product: HP Photosmart D110 series Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) I need to install an HP Photosmart D110 printer on my Windows 10 PC so I can use the scanner, but I can't find the complete drivers for that printer. Does anyone have them available? Thank you.

Hi @ACJER,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Photosmart D110 needs to be installed on a Windows 10 (64-bit) PC so you can use the scanner, but the full driver is not available. Let’s go through a few steps to get it working.

Understand driver availability for this model
The Photosmart D110 is an older, retired model and does not have a full-feature HP driver for Windows 10.
This is expected behavior and not a problem with your computer or printer.

Install the printer using Windows built-in drivers
Connect the printer to the PC using a USB cable and power it on.
Go to Settings > Printers & scanners and select Add a printer so Windows installs its built-in driver.

Confirm basic printing functionality
After installation, print a Windows test page.
This confirms the core driver installed correctly.

Use Windows Scan for scanning
Open the Microsoft Store and install the Windows Scan app (if not already installed).
This app works with Windows’ built-in scanner support and does not require HP software.

Alternative built-in scanning option
Open Windows Fax and Scan from the Start menu.
Select New Scan and choose the Photosmart D110 as the scanner.

Check device visibility in Control Panel
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Confirm the Photosmart D110 appears as a scanner and printer device.

Use USB connection for best compatibility
Scanning support is most reliable over USB for this model.
Network scanning may not be supported without HP’s legacy software.

Optional third-party scanning software
If Windows Scan does not detect the scanner, third-party scan software that includes its own drivers can be used.
This bypasses the need for HP’s discontinued full driver package.

I hope this helps.

I tried to reinstall my printer that way, wnen I do, it says no longer supported by HP.

I also tried the disc I had to no avail.

Just wondering if there is another way.

Hi @ACJER,

Thank you for the response.

I understand your HP Photosmart D110 will not install on Windows 10 and Windows reports it is no longer supported, and you are unable to add the printer at all. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this and what options are still available.

Understand the support limitation clearly
The HP Photosmart D110 is an end-of-life model.
HP no longer provides installable drivers or full software for Windows 10, which is why Windows reports it as unsupported.

Disconnect the printer completely before retrying
Unplug the USB cable from the printer and the computer.
Restart the computer to clear any failed or cached installation attempts.

Add the printer manually through Control Panel
Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a printer.
When it is not found, choose “The printer that I want isn’t listed.”

Use the manual TCP/IP or local printer option
Select “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.”
Choose an existing USB port (USB001 or similar) when prompted.

Select a generic Windows driver
When asked for the printer driver, choose HP as the manufacturer.
Select a basic HP Photosmart or HP DeskJet driver from the Windows list if available.

Allow Windows Update to populate older drivers
When the driver list appears, click Windows Update and wait several minutes.
This can add older legacy HP drivers that are not shown initially.

Confirm printer installation (printing only)
Complete the wizard and print a test page if possible.
Printing support may work, but scanning will not use HP software.

Use Windows Scan or Windows Fax and Scan for scanning
Open Windows Fax and Scan or install Windows Scan from the Microsoft Store.
These use Windows’ built-in imaging support instead of HP drivers.

Use USB connection only
Network installation is no longer supported for this model on Windows 10.
USB provides the highest chance of limited functionality.

Understand realistic expectations
If Windows refuses to add the printer even manually, the device is no longer compatible at the OS level.
In that case, there is no supported method to force full installation on Windows 10.

I hope this helps.
