Brand new, purchased from Costco In Austin.  Brought it home installed the software, plugged it in, and it says "Incompatible Supplies."  Followed instructions from a previous discussion (basically remove the cartridges, unplug the printer, plug it back in, wait for it to boot up, open the door and re-install the cartridges."  Same result - "incompatible supplies."  So except for manually entering my WiFi network info, it looks like there's no way to complete the setup or reset the location information.

@Aerieudite, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

To complete the setup, first, we will have to resolve the ink cartridge error.

Are you using the ink toners that came with the printer?

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - 'Install Black Cartridge' Displays

Make sure the plastic tape if any, is removed from the new ink toner before placing it in the printer.

Yes, these were the cartridges that were shipped with the printer, and no, there was no plastic tape on the cartridges.  Removed and reinstalled the cartridges several times while following instructions for the suggested fix (unplug, remove, reinstall, plug in, turn on).  Insanity is trying the same thing over and over expecting (hoping for) a different result.

I finally figured out how to fix it:  box it back up, return it to Costco, purchase another one.  The new one started up with no issues.
