HP Recommended

I have a WIN10 computer and LJ 1606 printer connected via USB. 

 

Each time I add the printer regardless of the method used, the printer will add but the moment I print a test page I will see an Error ie.. Default, Error.... message.  Once I delete the job then the word Error disappears.   However, I can't successfully print a test page. 

 

I have tried to install the printer under two accounts both have Admin rights.

I have tried a different USB cable. 

I have deleted the printer and added it back in.

I have tried the HP Smart Install (D drive)

I have tried the most recent driver from the HP site. 

 

What am I missing?
