Laser Jet Pro MFP M130fw
Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

I have an MFP1M30fw printer that I am trying to install on a Mac running OS 10.10 Yosemite.

Compatibility is expected.

When I install the driver (even trying with HP Smart) the system looks for a newer version online and, finding it, tries to install it but the newer version is not compatible with Yosemite 10.10.

How can it be solved? It works as a scanner but does not print.

Thank you.

Hello,

I have understood your issue, my suggestion is to restart your printer after installing updated software. Sometimes bugs can be fixed directly switching off your printer.

Please tell me which printer model are you using.

Thank you for your reply.

Maybe I haven't made myself clear.

The updated software does not install as it is not compatible with 10.10 Yosemite and it is not possible to install the previous version.

It only installs a generic driver automatically.
