M181fw

Hi gang,

I purchased a second hand M181fw a few months ago, used it once and put it back into storage. Now I need to print again, but I'm unable to do so from my PC. I can run off test pages from the printer itself and the HP app, but any attempt to print (for instance, a word document) will immediately fail, showing up as an error in the print queue.

I've tried running the Windows 10 troubleshooter, the HP diagnostic tool, reinstalling drivers, and restarting. I've found some suggestions online that the issue might relate to driver signing/spooler permissions, but I am out of my depths on this and uncertain how to proceed.

I've tried connecting to the printer via ethernet, WiFi and USB without effect.

Any suggestions?

Well, I don't know what was different this time, but running the HP Printer Doctor and a fresh install of the full feature drivers seems to have fixed the issue.
