Hello, I had to reconfigure my PC (some bug in the OS start) and he lost the former pilot for my HP-OfficeJet 6500 E709a model. Therewith I lost Recto-verso print capability on HP Officejet 6500. Following the chat with HP-Assistance (via Whatsapp) my model is too old and needs an old pilot ; does someone have one of the old pilot for this type of printer (and working under Windows 10: it has worked before the reinitialisation of my PC)?

To understand the issue and help you, please share the details listed below:

 

- Error messages or Blinking lights (if any) on the unit.

- May I know which application you are using to print?

- When was the last time your printer was working fine?

- Were there any changes made to your printer recently?

- May I know to which device you are trying to connect your printer to eg: Windows PC, Mac, or Smartphone (Android or iPhone)?

 

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Hello and thanks !

Here are the answers to your questions:

- Error messages or Blinking lights (if any) on the unit.: no error message, but the procedure for printing recto/verso does not work anymore. (before I was asked to take the printed pages and reintroduce it top down to print the recto.)

Also the automatic feeder of the scanner does not start anymore, when a document to copy is introduced in the feeder.

- May I know which application you are using to print? Either MS-Word, or pdf-Architect9 or **bleep** via Firefox or MS Edge

- When was the last time your printer was working fine? A few weeks ago; before my PC was blocked and the booth turned indefinitely round without starting. I sent then the PC to a workshop, where they had to backup all my files but told me that all my applications and softwares would have to be reinstalled...

- Were there any changes made to your printer recently? Nothing to the printer; only to the PC where all software were discarded.

- May I know to which device you are trying to connect your printer to eg: Windows PC, Mac, or Smartphone (Android or iPhone)? It is a Windows PC
