In order to print a document without receiving a "load paper prompt", I have to configure my printer to take paper from the "Tray".

Then, when I start another print job, I have to re-configure my printer again to "Tray"!

How can I save my settings as "default" so that my print job starts immediately without making these changes each time?

Please HELP!

@afterdinnerspea, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3101fdw printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Here’s how to set your Tray as the default so your printer remembers it:

On your PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3101fdw printer and select Printing Preferences.

Under the Paper/Quality or Paper Source tab (varies slightly), set the paper source to Tray 1 or your preferred tray.

Click Apply, then OK to save your settings.

Also, make sure the paper settings on the printer's control panel match what you’ve set on your PC.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
