@Alex-Bernard46, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding "Out of Toner" Message on HP Color LaserJet CP2025!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Color LaserJet CP2025 is displaying a message about being out of toner while the printer itself indicates otherwise, there are several steps you can follow to address this issue:

Verify Toner Levels:

  • Check the toner levels directly on the printer's display panel or through the HP Utility software available for your Mac OS. This can confirm whether the printer is correctly recognizing the toner levels.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is updated. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause incorrect error messages.

Print Driver Update:

  • Make sure you have the latest HP print drivers installed for Mac OS Sonoma. Outdated drivers can cause communication errors between the printer and your operating system.

Reset Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source for a minute before plugging it back in and turning it on again. This can reset the printer and clear any false error messages.

Reinstall Toner Cartridges:

  • Remove toner cartridges and reinstall them to ensure they are properly seated. Sometimes misalignment can lead to false alerts.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
