Hi @INFORMATICA_DVP,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP LaserJet Pro M203 printer loses its network configuration after a power outage, you can try the following steps to address the issue.

Update Firmware: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. HP often releases updates to fix bugs and improve performance. You can download the latest firmware from the HP support website and follow the instructions to install it.

Static IP Address: Assign a static IP address to your printer instead of relying on DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). This will ensure that your printer always uses the same IP address, even after a power outage. Here’s how:

  • Go to the printer’s control panel and navigate to the network settings.
  • Find the option to set a static IP address and enter the desired IP address, subnet mask, and gateway.
  • Save the settings and restart the printer.

Router Configuration: Ensure that your router’s settings are configured to support the printer. Check for any settings related to network stability or DHCP lease times. You might want to set a longer DHCP lease time or configure your router to reserve an IP address for the printer.

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply): Connect your printer to a UPS. This can help protect your printer from power fluctuations and outages, reducing the chances of losing network settings.

Network Reset: If the issue persists, try resetting the printer’s network settings and reconfiguring them. Sometimes, a fresh setup can resolve configuration issues.

Printer Settings: Ensure that your printer’s network settings are correctly saved. Verify that the printer is set to connect to the correct network and that the settings are applied properly.

By following these steps, you should be able to stabilize your printer’s network configuration and reduce the impact of power outages.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
