Missing setup cartridges

I recently got an HP Envy Pro 6455 All in one printer as gift. However, it didn't come with setup cartridges. Infact, it didn't come with *any* cartridges. Now, I'm stuck with a pair of new cartridges I bought and a printer that's stuck on "use setup cartridges" error; which I obviously don't have. I tried to see if I can buy those at some retailer, but doesn't look like those are sold separately. How do I get past this? Please help.

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are receiving a "use setup cartridges" error.

 

We would have to perform an OOBE reset on the printer to bypass the error

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the support private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

So I chatted with HP Support and they suggested I should buy the setup cartridges from Staples. I can't find any "setup cartridge" on Staples or any other retailer's site. 😞
