Operating System: iOS

i have been trying to connect my printer to the uni WIFI since yesterday and it just wont connect. On the setup page it connects all the way the network. But, the part to connect my iphone to the printer loads for ages and in the end it says it cant connect and to try again. i have tried many times but it still comes up with the same message.

Hi,

Have you checked with your University for the network capabilities?

 

Many such networks does not allow such a device to connect, many require the printer's Mac address to be allowed first, but all those are relied on the network requirements and capabilities, many shared network as a such will not allow such device to connect due to security requirements or policies of the university.

 

Regardless, be aware that connecting a printer to such a shared network of the university, allow anybody with access to the network to print to your printer...
