HP LaserJet P1102w
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

After upgrading the system to Big Sur Version 11.2.2, the system does not recognize my printer only turns on the screen, "The Disk You Attached Was Not Readable by this computer." And I have two buttons to choose "Ignore", "Eject". I was talking to Apple Service and they said, HP should send me a new driver to this Big Sur system... Does anybody have or had this issue? Just let me know. Thank you!

Hi,

This is probably due to the HP Smart Install feature which should be disabled, but can only be disabled from a Widnows PC.

Do you have a PC available or can get any such temporarily?

What Windows version can be used? so I may guide you how to disable the HP Smart Install from a PC, then I will provide you additional steps to resolve the problem on the Mac.

Thx.
