Try these steps:
Perform a Hard Reset
Disconnect the Power Cord:
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still on.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait:
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
Reconnect the Power Cord:
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
Power On the Printer:
- Press the power button to turn on the printer.
Check for Firmware Updates
Open HP Smart App or HP Support Assistant:
- Use the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device to check for firmware updates. Download HP Smart App
Update Firmware:
- Follow the instructions to update the printer firmware if an update is available.
Resetting the Printer Settings
Access Printer Settings:
- From the printer control panel, access the Setup or Settings menu.
Restore Factory Defaults:
- Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Settings, and find the option to Restore Factory Defaults or Reset All Settings.
- Confirm your selection to reset the printer settings.
Check for Power Issues
- Check Power Source:
- Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power source.
- Make sure the power source is functioning properly by connecting the printer to a different outlet.
