Hi @dallas313,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Perform a Hard Reset

Disconnect the Power Cord:

  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while it is still on.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Wait:

  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.

Reconnect the Power Cord:

  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.

Power On the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Check for Firmware Updates

Open HP Smart App or HP Support Assistant:

  • Use the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device to check for firmware updates. Download HP Smart App

Update Firmware:

  • Follow the instructions to update the printer firmware if an update is available.

Resetting the Printer Settings

Access Printer Settings:

  • From the printer control panel, access the Setup or Settings menu.

Restore Factory Defaults:

  • Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Settings, and find the option to Restore Factory Defaults or Reset All Settings.
  • Confirm your selection to reset the printer settings.

Check for Power Issues

  1. Check Power Source:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power source.
    • Make sure the power source is functioning properly by connecting the printer to a different outlet.

I hope this helps.
