Hi @Brett89,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for reaching out! If your HP Smart Tank 7602 All-in-One printer isn’t connecting to your modem (Wi-Fi network), here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get it online:
Step 1: Check Wi-Fi Requirements
- Make sure your modem/router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network (some HP printers don’t support 5 GHz).
- Ensure the Wi-Fi password is correct, and the network is not hidden.
Step 2: Restore Network Settings
- Press and hold the Wireless button (📶) and the Cancel button (❌) together for about 5 seconds.
- Release when the Power light blinks—this resets the network settings and puts the printer into Wi-Fi setup mode.
Step 3: Use the HP Smart App
- On your phone or PC, download and open the HP Smart app HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store.
- Make sure your device is connected to the Wi-Fi network you want the printer to join.
- Tap Add Printer → The app should detect the printer in setup mode.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi.
If the printer isn’t detected, try moving it closer to the router and restarting the app.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
