Hi @DAVE6281,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to deal with printer issues, especially when it seems like everything should be working fine. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem with your HP Neverstop1001 printer.
Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart of both the printer and your computer can resolve connectivity issues.
Check Connections: Ensure that all cables are securely connected between the printer and your computer or network.
Check Printer Status: Verify that the printer's control panel shows it as online and ready to print.
Reinstall Printer Driver: Since you've already deleted the driver package, make sure to download the latest driver from HP's official website. Here's how:
- Visit HP's official website and navigate to the support section.
- Enter your printer model (HP Neverstop1001) and locate the correct driver for your operating system.
- Download the driver package and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall it.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP provides a tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor, which can diagnose and resolve printing problems. You can download it from HP's support website and run it to check for issues with your printer.
Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Sometimes, security software can block printer communication. Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software (if safe to do so) and try reinstalling the printer driver.
Reset Printer Network Settings: If your printer connects wirelessly, try resetting its network settings and reconnecting it to your Wi-Fi network.
Update Firmware: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
By systematically going through these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue with your HP Neverstop1001 printer not reinstalling correctly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
