No Startup Cartridges

Office Inkjet Pro 8620
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hi !  My parents recently passed away and they had a brand new, still in the box, factory blue taped shut, etc Office Inkjet Pro 8620 Printer, which I have brought home for personal use.  But there are no startup cartridges.  I just spent $150 on new cartridges, but I now understand these won't work.  The automated chat system tells me to bring the printer back to the store where purchased.  I haven't a clue what store they bought this from.  Please help!

@cjpopgirl, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
