HP Color LaserJet CP1515n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi to all,

I cannot update firmware on cp1515n from 20120110 version to the latest 20130923. I have unlocked RFU setting in Service Menu, as suggested in the post

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/CP1515n-laser-printer-won-t-update-firmware-to-20130...

but still nothing: the updater goes on, but nothing happens after the final smile on the update firmware. I have tried both on USB and LAN ways. I have noticed that the option "print config" in the update tool has no effect.

The printer works regulary, but sometimes the LAN mode hangs and I have to reset NVRAM to re-enable network printing.

No. Perhaps I could try to run the update tool in compatibility mode. UPDATE: No result.

Solved! I ran the update utility from a VM (virtual machine) with Windows 7 and it did the trick! Thank you very much!
