Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After the Sept Windows 10 (major) update, this printer no longer double-sides, despite that option showing in MS Word (where "print on both sides" is the default for this printer.  I had an older HP printer that had this problem, too, but after re-installing the driver, that one's now working.  This one is connected wirelessly.  After re-downloading and installing the driver, it still prints wirelessly, but still doesn't double-side.

I've rebooted the computer and turned the printer off and on.  I'm not sure what else to try!  Help?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can try this:

1. go to Control panel (Windows search (magnifying glass icon) > Control panel > View Devices and printers

2. Right click on the printer and go to "Printer Properties"

3. go to Device Settings, ensure Duplex unit is selected as "Installed"

Example:

set duplexer to installedDuplexer .jpg

Hope that helps!

Thanks, but I don't have those options when I right-click on Properties.  This is what I see:

I don't believe this printer has a duplex unit.  Duplexing is just part of it's construction.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

I have had this printer for a year and I know it duplexes.  It was doing that perfectly well before the Windows update.

Thanks for trying.  I may need to sort this out with HP.
