Why can I not locate the setting to disable two-sided printing on my OJ 5258? I've checked within the Printer Settings in the Mac System Preferences as well as thru the Print set-up menu just before I hit 'Print' of a Word Doc. I can select color vs black/white but not the ability to print single sided

Welcome to HP Support Community

Please ensure that the printer and Mac has the latest updates

Printer Firmware: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Mac update: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201541

Next remove and re-add the printer using Airprint

1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.

3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button  at the bottom of the list.

4.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint or Secure AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

6.) Try to print

Let me know how it goes😊

Thanks for the reply, KrazyToad!  I checked and i am up to date and am already set-up for AirPrint. I did not do any removal and reinstall. It seems that this ability to disable dual side printing is application, or even sometimes, document specific. For example, the genesis of this inquiry was based on trying to print a Word doc, but for PDF, I have the option to turn off dual side and the output was single sided. I will continue to monitor the situation and try to find another Word doc to print (I only use the printer for personal use).

Will be back in touch; thanks again
