HP OfficeJet 4650
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I followed the steps posted at https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Setup-Software-Drivers/Officejet-4650-driver-unavailable/td-p/.... to install the OfficeJet 4650 printer and get rid of the "driver unavailable" error message in Windows 10.

I was able to install HP Smart and therefore the printer driver and I am now able to print reports from the HP Smart application.

I cannot however print from Word, Adobe, or web browser -  I can select the printer and it shows as Ready. I select to print and immediately I get an error printing message. I don't see any specific events in Event Viewer however I am not an expert at using this tool.

Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot this issue?

Hi,

Try following below specific version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy (Copy1) and check for any difference.

If the same persists - what exact error message you mean by an error printing message? what is the exact error message?

Thank you for all your help. I am finally able to print using my daughter's laptop.
