HP Officejet 4630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So... I had the fun of "HP Officejet 4630 series Basic Device software" refusing to uninstall.

I managed to get round this issue, eventually.

Here's how:

1) Go to Control Panel -> Uninstall or change a program (__NOT__ Add or remove programs)

2) Right click for the menu on the above and select repair.

3) it should prompt you to tell it where oj843x86.msi is located. DO NOT just hit enter.

3.1) navigate to the c:\users\<enter the admin name here>\appdata\local\temp\

3.2) somewhere in here will be directory that starts 7zS with 4 numbers after it. Find the one that has OJ463x64.msi and open that one then select that msi file. Now you can select ok.

4) when the above is finished you'll need to restart. It should prompt you to do so.

5) after the restart you should now be able to uninstall the "HP Officejet 4630 series Basic Device software" at will.

OK, that's me done now.

So long and thanks for all the fishy tech help.
