"One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing. The print job cannot be completed. To fix this situation, HP recommends reinstalling the print driver software."  That's the message I got yesterday (in Italian).  Like other users, I tried reinstalling the print driver software.  No good.  That was in the PM of 10/24 Italy time. Now it is the AM of 10/25 in Italy.  Last night I had deleted the printer from the available printing options.  This AM I connected the printer to my MacBook via USB cable and tried printing and I am in fact able to print.  I don't have the problem anymore.  Don't know who to thank but thanks!

This worked for me as well - deleted all printers (will experience the pain of setting them up again down the road).  Readded the local (networked) printer and error went away (at least so far).

Yep, worked for me too. I wonder if there's a max number of printers that can be associated with a single laptop, or something like that? I am a contractor and had lots of different printers listed from various jobs. Deleted them all and re-added my home printer and it's working again.
