Hi, I haven't been able to print using my HP LaserJet Professional P1109w for over 2 years now, and in sheer frustration, I decided to uninstall then reinstall the printer driver. I started the install before 8 pm last night, and it is STILL RUNNING now at 11 am. Am I correct in believing that it should not take over 15 hours to install a driver? What is going on here? How do I get my printer to work with my machine again? My machine is a Microsoft Surface Book, and my internet connection is excellent and working normally.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Manually launch the installation using below executable and then follow the installation screens:
C:\LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution\HpSetup.exe
Let me know if this helps.
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
