My Photosmart D110 was experiencing very long periods of delay, sometimes 30 minutes, to print 1 page. The HP Community fix for this from HP employee was to un-install/re-install the Full SW Driver, whcih I did, but on re-install I get a Fatal Install Erorr as follows:
This is a wireless install, not USB. All the wireless connection steps succeed, it only fails in configuring the software in 4th step as seen on the above status behind the error message.
The automatic troubleshooter that downloads a windows 8 tool also does not resolve the problem.
I've followed community sugegstions of windows update current, turning off virus, turning off firewall, rebooting network, printer and laptop. My laptop is very new Hp Pavilion windows 10 x64. Hp Print and Scan doctor finds now printing problem, does find a scan problem in registry, but again uninstall/re-install driver which does not work. HP Solution Center will not launch and says the printer is conffigured.
Of note if I move the printer beside the laptop and do a USB install it works, but the hardcoded way this HP solution software works I can not switch the USB working to then be a WIFI connected printer in the eyes of teh HP Solution Center software, which in working from home is the needed way to work the full feature set of the D110 printer vs. limited options using basic windows tools to print/scan.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Create a TCP IP port and install the Printer:
1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)
2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right-click the printer and left-click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.
3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.
This video resource will show you how to do it:
