@Garrett_Bledoze, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If you have received a cloud-connected HP printer that is currently registered to the previous owner’s account, you can often resolve the issue by performing a factory reset. Below are the general steps you might take to do so:
Steps to Factory Reset:
Access Printer Settings:
- Make sure the printer is turned on.
- From the printer control panel, navigate to the settings menu. This may be labeled as "Setup," "Settings," "System," or similar.
Find Reset Option:
- Look for a section within the settings labeled “Maintenance,” “Service,” or “Factory Reset.”
- Select the “Restore Factory Defaults” or “Reset” option.
Perform the Reset:
- Confirm that you want to restore the printer to its factory settings.
- The printer will restart and settings will be reverted to the default configuration.
Re-register Printer:
- Once the printer has been restored, you will need to re-register it to your HP account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your network and HP account.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
