When I'm printing from PowerPoint, the printer is not printing the photos as I'm using them.  It's printing an extended version of the photo, overflowing the space designated.

I pulled open the Power Point software in my Office Professional 2019.

The setup appears to be similar to what I remember (I've not used the software lately).

The following is based on a quick check of the basics...

If the information is not relevant to your situation, simply ignore it....

One important aspect of creating and then printing the slide(s) from Power Point is how the Slides are sized.

If you use one aspect / size for the slides and then do not accommodate the slide size in your print setup, the images (on the slides) won't "just fit on the paper".  For example, simple photo print might require that you "fit" the slide to the paper.

Photo print is not available from within Power Point.

If you have managed to export one or more of the slides to a .jpg file, the general rules apply:

Image must be made to fit on the paper using whatever is available to adjust the Print size to fit the paper size.

Printing the slide set is available from within Power Point.

Main print menu:  Power Point document > File > Print

Remember >> Some print settings must / should-be checked in Printer Properties

Example

Power_Point_Slide_Size_1Power_Point_Slide_Size_1

If you Export the slide set to PDF, similar rules apply.

If the shape of the slide does not fit the size and shape of the paper, use Fit / Shrink oversized pages.

To test the results, Export the slide set to a PDF file

Open the PDF file in Adobe Reader DC

Click the Print icon

In Page Sizing and Handling

Try the different size options in each Size / Poster / Multiple

Remember:  Paper Size is selected in Properties
