HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer

When I try to install HP Scan or HP EasyStart, neither app will find my printer. The wireless connectivity light on the printer is on, and entering the IP address in the setup doesn't help. My driver apps. My Programs settings indicates that HP apps are HP Smart, HP Basic Scan, HP OCR, HP SharePoint Plugin, and HP SFTP plugin are installed. The OS is up to date.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

 

Please follow the steps listed below to restore the printer to its network defaults and then reconnect it to the network.

 

Step 1: Restore the printer to its network defaults.
On the back of the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for at least three seconds.

 

Step 2: Reconnect the Printer to the network:
1. Press and hold and on the back of printer for at least three seconds to start WPS Push Button method. The Edge lighting shows the outside edges of the light bar pulsing purple, repeating. 

2. Press the WPS button on your router. 

 

NOTE: The product begins a timer for approximately two minutes while a wireless connection is established. If the printer connects successfully, the Edge lighting glows purple at the outside edges of the light bar. Flashing amber lighting in the middle of the light bar indicates an error.
