I'm trying to set-up my printer and it says Driver is unavailable for HP M283 LaserJet

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you. 
If you're seeing a "Driver is unavailable" message while setting up your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw on Windows 11, it usually means the correct driver isn't installed or Windows couldn't automatically find it.

Here’s how to resolve it:

Uninstall any existing printer drivers:

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click on your HP M283 printer and select Remove.
  • Then, open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, and uninstall any HP printer software listed.

Download the latest full driver package:

Install the driver:

  • Download the “HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw Full Software Solution”.
  • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Choose Wireless, USB, or Ethernet setup based on your connection type.

Restart your PC after installation.

  • It helps with scanning, printing, and monitoring printer status.
