@Kkall1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding WiFi Connection Issues for Your HP Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP printer is having trouble connecting to WiFi, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Network Connection Check:

  • Ensure your printer is powered on and check the network connection status. For printers with a touchscreen, navigate to the Wireless or Network Settings menu. For printers without a touchscreen, press the Wireless and Information buttons simultaneously; a Wireless Test Report will print, showing connection status.

Re-establish Connection:

  • If not connected, re-connect the printer to the WiFi network.
    • With Touchscreen: Use the Wireless Setup Wizard found in the printer's Network menu.
    • Without Touchscreen: Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons until the Power light blinks, then use the WPS button on your router to connect.
    • For specific models like HP Deskjet 6000 or 6400, press the Wireless button at the rear of the printer for five seconds to initiate pairing.

IP Address Configuration:

  • You may opt to manually set the printer’s IP address if you experience connectivity drops. Access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) using the IP address and suggest a Manual IP Address under Network settings.

Check Wireless Network Settings:

  • Make sure your phone and printer are on the same WiFi network.
  • Avoid connections with guest networks as they may have restrictions.

Printer Software/Driver:

  • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your device. Visit HP Support to download the necessary software.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
