HP Photosmart 7960
Microsoft Windows XP

I have a HP 7960 that has worked for years but suddenly slowed down in printing.  Here is what's happening: The print

carriage scans one line then sits there for about 30 seconds to scan the next line. So a whole page can take about an

hour to print out. This happens no matter if the 7960 is hooked up to a computer or is operated  independently.

Ink cartridges are OK and show FULL.    Here is what I have done so far.  1). I have given the unit a hard boot by disconnecting

all power.  2 )  I have done a hard re-set as suggested in "Preferences"     3)  I have measured the power supply voltages.

They measure exactly +32v  and +16v.    Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.
