Hi @Jonnythan,
If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Hope this helps!

This may not be the same problem I and others have had. I never got an error message, just couldn't get black ink after several cycles of cleaning the printhead. Here is a video I found after HP support suggested I needed a new printer. I didn't.

**If your printer is under warranty, try HP support first. I don't want anyone voiding their warranty. Mine was out of warranty so I tried it and it fixed the problem.
Here are the steps I took in case you don't want to watch the video.
The video says you have about 5 minutes before the printer sends the carriage back to maintenance position, so watch your fingers. Here are the steps:
- Remove the ink cartridges
- slide the printhead all the way to the left
- place a slightly damp paper towel underneath where the printhead moves, press down firmly to get it flush so the head can pass over it. (I struggled with this, and ended up just holding the corner of it until I could get the head over it)
- manually slide the printhead back and forth several times. I had to use 2 paper towels and refolded both because the black ink covered them quickly.
- replace the ink cartridges.
- my step 6. run the clean print-head cycle a few times. I still had some fading/streaking so I think I did the 3 cleaning cycles twice before I was satisfied. Black in and color prints look perfect again
There is also a video that suggests contact cleaner spray for electronics. I don't have any and didn't try it, but the wet paper towel worked.
Goodluck!
