Hi @ARMProcessor,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Unfortunately, there is no specific mention of driver compatibility for ARM processors like the Snapdragon(R) X 12-core ARM processor. The existing drivers and support seem to cater more towards Windows operating systems running on x86 or x64 architectures.
Potential Solutions
Check HP Official Website:
- Visit the HP Support webpage to see if there are any updates or driver releases specific to ARM-based processors. Sometimes manufacturers update their drivers to support new hardware architectures.
Universal Print Driver:
- HP often provides Universal Print Driver (UPD) which might be compatible. Check for UPD options on the HP website that might support ARM architecture or provide a compatible solution.
Printer Sharing:
- If the above solutions do not work, consider sharing the printer from another compatible computer running an x86 or x64 processor. This shared environment might be able to facilitate printing from your ARM-based Surface Pro.
- Instructions for setting up shared printing can be found here.
Third-party Solutions:
- You might also explore third-party printing solutions that support ARM processors within Windows 11. These solutions might have broader support for different hardware architectures.
I hope this helps.
