HP Chromebook 14b-na0010nr

I'm having this exact issue on my brand new HP Chromebook 14b-na0010nr trying to connect with my HP OfficeJet Pro 9010. Chrome OS and printer firmware completely updated. Uninstalled and reinstalled at least three times HP Smart app, to no avail - when I sign in to my HP account in an attempt to use the scanning feature I get the same message as others, "Thanks for your patience" but nothing loads. I've added in the HP Print for Chrome extensions but that doesn't help to scan.

Welcome to the HP support communtiy.

 

I understand that you are unable to sign in to the HP Smart app, I am glad to assist you.

This could be because of the older version of the HP Smart app which is no longer support the login feature. 

If you have updated the app and still facing this issue.

This might require remote access to the computer to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
