Whenever I scan a document on my HP 7155 printer the date of the file creation is wrong. How do I set the proper date and time in the HP7155 printer? My computer and home network all have the proper date and time.

Thanks for any help.

Greetings and Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Don't worry, I'm here to help!

Let's try these steps to set the date and time on the printer -

1) From the printer's control panel, tap on "Setup".

2) Tap on the "Preferences".

3) Tap on "Date and Time". Tap on "Done" once you have set the right Date/ Time.

Hope this helps!

Let me know how that goes.

This advice does not work on my 7155. There is no "Date and Time" option on the Setup - Preferences window.  Please check your advice on a 7155 printer.

Or do I have old software on my printer? How do I check that?

Thanks

Please look for these option on your HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer's control panel.

Let me know.

Please try these steps -

1) Write down the IP address of the printer. IP address can be obtained from the printer's control panel by tapping on the Wi-Fi icon.
2) Type the IP of the printer into the address bar of your preferred browser (IE, Chrome, Firefox, etc)
3) Press Enter to access the EWS (embedded web server) for the printer
4) Select the Settings tab at the top
5) Click the checkbox at the bottom for "Use the same time zone set on this computer" and click Apply

6) HP Embedded Web Server, selected "settings", next "preferences", next "date & time", next checked the box " Sync with this computer's date and time settings".

Let me know.

I was able to access the EWS through Internet Explorer (Edge did not work). I found the Settings tab and the Preferences, but did not see the "date and time" selection so was unable to do the sync that you said could be done.

What now?

Thanks for all your help, I am sure this can be solved. Do I need a software update on the 7155?
