- Setup a shared printer from an invite?

A friend has sent me an invite to their new HP 8025e printer (I believe that it's technically the account that's being shared not the printer)
They have an account and have sent the invite to me. It currently shows on their screen as invite pending (with 2 days left)
I have created a new HP account with the email that the invite has been sent to.
I have received the email saying there is an invite... but now what?
How do I add the "shared" printer?
I've installed HP smart on my PC , logged in . I expected to add printer and have the "invited" printer listed or some sort of Alert\notification that there is a printer\account being shared. Nothing is found when I try to add a device.
I believe there is an inexplicable difference between desktop and mobile app functionality, so I've also installed the mobile app on a android device. Again logging in on the account that has the pending invite, there are no printers to set up.
Could someone kindly explain how I should set up the shared printer? There is no documentation provided by HP on how to do this, only on how to send the original invites.
Not sure why this is so difficult?

- Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Under Add printers & scanners, select Add a printer or scanner.
- Choose the printer you want, and then select Add Device.

Download and install the HP Smart app from HP Smart - Microsoft Store (Windows, in English), or HP Smart - Mac App Store (macOS, in English). Open the HP Smart app, click Add Printer or the plus sign to search your printer, and then follow the on-screen instructions to add and set up the printer.

As per original post "I've installed HP smart on my PC , logged in...."
(Also as originally post says) - Clicking add printer - nothing appears.
Logging in on my new HP account to a win10 PC with Smart App ..
No printers found
ON Android Phone: Smart app : "Add your first printer" > Choose a printer to add. ..
Option 1 New printer.
Option 2 Already connected.
Taking Option 1 (a friends printer is already setup remotely) - returns " No Printers Found" > "Set up a new printer"
Taking option2: .... no printers listed
"My printer's not listed" > "Pull down to update the available printer list" .
Pull down - No printers are ever found.
The share invite was resent today and has not expired..
