Hi,

I am trying to install a brand new OfficeJet Pro 8130e printer. Everything else is OK, but there is a cartridge problem with M cartridge (it is not communicating). I have tried all of the troubleshooting online, and it has not resolved the issue. I have tried another brand new HP M cartridge, but it won't let me finish the install as it isn't the setup cartridge. The only other suggestion it gave was to contact support, who I have been going around in circles with for almost a week via FB messenger, repeating myself to their copy and paste responses. I have been phoning the local support number for the past four days and it just rings out, with no voicemail facility. It would appear to me that a replacement setup M cartridge would solve this, but as HP can't see fit to send me one, I'm ready to ship the whole unit back at this stage.  What can I do?

If under warranty you should be able to get a replacement cartridge.

Sign in to your support page
Select the product you need help with and scroll down to support options.
Select "Contact us". You can change country and language if necessary.

I do not see your printer listed here but you could try what is shown in the video. See if you can contact HP first.
