HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dears,

I bought a 2nd hand printer HP color Laserjet pro MFP M277dw, unfortunately it was in error.

The famous "supply memory error". It shows all 4 tonners. I tried to update to the last firmware, but still got the error.

Tried following some videos from internet, "cleaning contacts, check for a paper debris" and all of this is clean. I don't think is electrical contact, because if I change a tonner of the normal position  I receive the alert. If the tray is empty I got the same remark.

The tonners are HP original 100%full, but the date imprinted is from 2018.

To try if the problem is the tonner, I borrowed to a colleague that has the same printer, It works fine, and exactly the 100%filled tonner.

He is using a aftermarket filled tonners, but the firmware is not actual, is 20201119.

Unfortunatelly I can't find an old fiirmware to try it.

So I'm need a bit of help, it's a shame to send the printer to recycling, because it is completely new.

It's possible to extract from the printer? Can anyone has other idea , or even an old firmware?

Many thanks, best regards

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting a supply memory error on the printer, I am glad to assist you.

Looks like you have tried all possible troubleshooting steps and the issue still persists.

You might have to perform a NVRAM reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
