Product: OfficeJet Pro 6978
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

Has anyone had any luck using this printer with Catalina? The last time I checked HP Support, there was no driver listed under this printer for MacOS 10.15. If there is a driver, are there still features that won't work? That seems to be the problem with every MacOS update and HP is really slow to adapt.

 

Suggestions? Thanks.

Why not? the printer is fully supported on Catalina for some months.

 

Please make sure your drivers are fully up to date by following HP Easy Start below:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Additionally, ensure your macOS is fully up to date by clicking the Apple icon, select About this Mac and then press Software Update.
If any updates are available click Update Now to make sure the latest OS updates are installed, this is crucial for HP Easy Scan to work as expected.
