If your HP ENVY Inspire 7234ea is saying “incorrect password” during Wi-Fi setup, it typically means the printer can’t connect to your Wi-Fi router because of one of the following: The password is not the printer's PIN — it's the Wi-Fi password for your home network.
Use the HP Smart App Setup
- Download the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.
- Make sure your phone or PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you're trying to use.
- Add a new printer > follow the steps > it should automatically detect the network and guide you through connecting.
Restart Devices
- Restart your printer, Wi-Fi router, and computer/phone.
- Retry the setup.
