I am trying to set up a HP ENVY INSPIRE 7234ea. I imputed the PiN and the WiFi set up is saying "incorrect password". What should I do?

Hi @Tobakehinde,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY Inspire 7234ea is saying “incorrect password” during Wi-Fi setup, it typically means the printer can’t connect to your Wi-Fi router because of one of the following: The password is not the printer's PIN — it's the Wi-Fi password for your home network.

Use the HP Smart App Setup

  • Download the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.
  • Make sure your phone or PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you're trying to use.
  • Add a new printer > follow the steps > it should automatically detect the network and guide you through connecting.

Restart Devices

  • Restart your printer, Wi-Fi router, and computer/phone.
  • Retry the setup.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
