HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer

My printer screen has its lights on but is blank. Does anyone know how to fix it? I have already unplugged the cable for 1 min and made sure it is plugged to a wall outlet. I need to reset my wifi as I changed it recently but because I can’t see the screen options I can’t set this up and can’t print using wifi.

Hi @Pmo_oliveira ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the touchscreen on your HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer is blank and you're unable to access the settings to reset the Wi-Fi, you can try the following steps:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the touchscreen is responsive.

Perform a Power Cycle:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the power outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable to the printer and the power outlet.
  • Turn on the printer and check the touchscreen.

Factory Reset (if necessary):

  • This step should be taken with caution as it will reset all settings on the printer.
  • On the printer control panel, touch the right arrow to access the "Setup" menu.
  • Touch "Tools" and then touch "Restore Factory Defaults" or a similar option.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the factory reset.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware. You can check the HP support website for firmware updates specific to your printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
