HP Envy 5032 all in one printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have installed the latest version of HP Smart (122.3.838.0) and it works insofar as it correctly finds and displays my printer and shows the ink levels. However to use the Scan function (for example) you have to sign in to your account (which I have already setup). When I try to sign in, HP Smart just hangs on the window called "Connecting to a service", it never gives the prompt for userid/password. On 2 other computers in the network, I installed HP Smart and I can sign in no problem (one WIndows 10 and one MacOS).
If I click on the Account icon on the LHS of the HP Smart window, where it says "Your HP account offers exciting blah blah... sign in or create an account below" clicking on SIgn In opens a window that says "Loading HP Cloud Services..." then it goes to the "Connecting to a service" window and hangs indefinitely.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled HP Smart, doesn't help. I have searched on the web and in the HP Support website but I don't find anything helpful.
The machine is a HP Elitebook 8570p running Windows 10 Pro.
Appreciate if anyone could steer me in the right direction to troubleshoot this issue.
