A status page is printed after every print job.
How can I turn this off?

Uncheck Show status after printing in the printer driver settings. Alternatively, you can disable notifications in the HP Smart app. Both methods will resolve the issue.

Hi @Raffles1954

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

To stop your HP printer from printing a status page after every job, you’ll need to adjust the print settings either through the HP App or the Embedded Web Server (EWS). This behavior is often linked to diagnostic or Web Services settings that persist after setup.

Step 1: Disable Print Status Notifications via HP App

  1. Open the HP App on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Select your printer > Printer Settings.
  3. Navigate to Preferences or Advanced Settings.
  4. Look for options like:
    • Print Status Reports
    • Print Notifications
    • Job Log or Summary Page
  5. Turn these settings Off and save changes.

Step 2: Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

If the HP App doesn’t show the option:

  1. Find your printer’s IP address from the control panel or HP App.
  2. Enter the IP into a browser to open the Embedded Web Server.
  3. Go to Settings > Preferences > Reports or Notifications.
  4. Disable any options related to:
    • Print Job Status Page
    • Web Services Summary
    • Instant Ink or HP+ Reports

Step 3: Remove Web Services (If Not Needed)

If you’re not using Instant Ink or HP+:

  1. On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Web Services > Remove Web Services.
  2. Confirm removal and restart the printer.

Step 4: Check Printer Driver Settings

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your printer > Printing Preferences.
  3. Look for any checkbox labeled:
    • Print Status Notification
    • Print Job Report
    • Diagnostic Page
  4. Uncheck and apply changes.
